Recipe for Cherry zerda
Ingredients
Extra long grain rice 2 glass
Soaked for 30 minutes, then boil with green illachi, fully done, drain out water, keep aside.
Green cherries 1/2 cup chopped
Yellow cherries 1/2 cup chopped
Coconut slices 1/2 cup
Dry dates 1/2 cup
Sugar 1 glass plus 1/4 glass extra
Water 1/2 cup
Pure ghee or oil 1 cup
Method
Heat the oil, add illachi seeds, then add sugar with water, when it's bubbly in texture, add all dry fruits, add rice, mix with rubber spatula.
Let it cook, when water dries up, sprinkle different colour of your choice, in dry form, add kewra essence.
Put on dum for 10 minutes. Let it b like that.
After 1 hour, mix up with rubber spatula.
Serve hot hot, just enjoy.
